Film magazines provide information to the audience on the films that are about to be released. The magazines include exclusive interviews with actors/actresses that are in the latest blockbusters at the time, there are also reviews on a lot of the films that are about to be released. This is important in the magazines as film lovers buy the magazines to find out what movies are going to be big and worth going to the cinema to see, the interviews also intrigue the reader and make them want to buy the magazine in the first place.
There are a many conventions that determine a film magazine. Film magazines usually have the feature actor/actress on the front cover. The headline on the front cover usually n exclusive of a new film, a review or a stories associated particular actors/actresses.
